FYI- Missouri has secured a 24(c) label for fall-applied Command herbicide for resistant Italian ryegrass management preceding rice. As resistant ryegrass continues to build, this will be a great tool for MO rice growers. This label already exists for AR, LA, and MS.

Mid-June planted rice is out and we are officially done with harvest. A couple of hybrids held up very well. Data from more trials coming soon.

The question is, will it drain fast enough for planted crops? Based on how full ditches are and the flooded roads, it’s not looking good.

Friendly reminder that urease inhibitors (NBPT products) aren’t needed on urea that’s dropped into the water. So on your spoon-feed in flood, midseason, or boot applications in rice, save your money and leave those products off. Plain urea is all you need.
