📈 Angela Rayner is right: the Employment Rights Bill levels the playing field. It stops bad bosses undercutting good ones and backs employers already doing the right thing. “Being pro-worker isn’t a barrier to success – it’s the launch pad to it.” thebusinessdesk.com/northwest/news…

🚸 Prior to the 2024 local elections, 48.5% of EHCPs were completed on time 📉 After a year of the Greens running Bristol City Council, this month’s figure has dropped to 3% - and was even as low as 1% this February 👎🏻 Simply not good enough bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

🚨 The Employment Rights Bill could finally tip the balance back to workers – but it’s under threat in the Lords. End fire-and-rehire. Scrap zero-hours. Strengthen union rights. Add your name 👇 megaphone.org.uk/petitions/pass… via Megaphone UK

Bobby Vylan is an ignoramus. But are people seriously suggesting that hate speech laws should extend to words spoken about an *entire foreign army*? Where on Earth does that end?!

Paul Embery (@paulembery) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I don't think Lucy Connolly should be in jail. I don't think Bobby Vylan should be prosecuted. I think inflammatory speech should be an offence only where it is intended to incite or produce immediate lawless action and, crucially, is likely to incite or produce such action.

If the government wants to raise money, it should tax gambling properly, recover millions lost to COVID fraud, and make sure the wealthiest pay their fair share.

This is so important! Private rail firms are still fighting to cling on to our railway. Please take 1 minute to send @we_ownit's letter to your MP so they know you want them to fight for a railway that works for us, not shareholders. weownit.org.uk/act-now/great-…

Now we know when the key parts of the Employment Rights bill will come into force. This Government is matching words with action on trade union rights. This is the biggest improvement in workers’ rights for a generation.
