Grateful for the opportunity to present our comparison of open-access ENT journals indicating that they currently publish less-cited papers than conventional journals. Nice to have Dr. Harley and Michael Hoa, MD in the audience #TRIOLOGICAL The Triological Society

Why are toddlers in some US states still subject to forced masking when the mandates have been lifted for so many others? It is because they are powerless and The Science (tm) serves only the powerful.

The STAR Trial did not have an appropriate control group. Included patients likely would have responded well to other surgical options (expansion pharyngoplasty, MMA). Control group should have had patients who underwent surgical alternatives. Not too late to try? Inspire Sleep Apnea Innovation

Awesome project that I think lays groundwork for clinically impactful AI in skull base surgery planning. I think there may utility in similar approach for anterior cranial base tumors 🤔 (thanks authors for the acknowledgment) doi.org/10.1007/s11548…

Doctors at a major US insurance company deny tens of thousands of claims a month without even looking at patients’ files. “We literally click & submit,” a former Cigna doctor told @ProPublica & The Capitol Forum. “It takes all of 10 seconds to do 50 at a time.” The inside story 🧵

Washington now has wins over No. 6, 11, 17 and 22 in the CFP Rankings. There really is no excuse for Washington to be lower than No. 3 in the nation on Tuesday. Forget holding them to the standard of video game numbers -- they keep winning real, meaningful games. Reward them.

Harmony, balance, and rhythm. They’re the three things that stay with you your whole life. Without them civilization is out of whack. And that’s why an oarsman, when he goes out in life, he can fight it, he can handle life. That’s what he gets from rowing. —George Yeoman Pocock
