In our new historical demography paper, J. David Hacker and I examine the impact of racial residential segregation on child mortality using the 1900&1910 census. We show that even prior to the creation of Jim Crows, and HOLC maps, structural racism has impacted health. MPC

We started this paper 4(!) years ago and I asked every MPC/LCC seminar speaker I could for feedback and comments. Still in awe of how generous people were willing to be with their time. And of course huge thanks to J. David Hacker who has really championed this work!
