What a brilliant tour we got today from the guide at the Office of Public Works Anne's Grove Gardens. A real significant collection of trees and plants. A real national treasure. The Camellias, Magnolias and Rhododendrons looked stunning today. Looking forward to returning soon.

Great talk this evening by Seán Ronayne in Newmarket at IRD Duhallow on his story to record the call of every bird in Ireland. Keep up the great work.

New garden completed in Askive House, o'Donavans Rd. The vision of Mary C Sheehan. We sat down over a year ago to discuss a plan for the garden. Secured UCC Green Campus living lab fund. Old filing cabinets are used to grow veg. A garden for nature and staff to thrive and relax.

UCC'S green campus is full of surprises. Discovered by Head Gardener Jack Murphy last year, and confirmed again in same spot during fieldwork by Green Campus Greenshoots Coordinator Irene Ní Shúilleabháin this year: Nettle-leaved Bellflower. Rare and protected in Ireland.

Wonderful to open the garden sanctuary UCC Green Campus UCC Ireland ! Huge thanks to our colleagues UCC Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences UCC Sociology & Criminology ! Creating a ‘hares corner’ for reflection and enquiry & learning!

A great day spent with students at Scoil Naomh Pádraig Kanturk for their biodiversity day.

First of a series of lunchtime walks for UCC Learning and Teaching staff and friends was a guided stroll through the UCC Ireland arboretum. Jack Murphy gives a curatorial tour of our living treasures.

OVPLT held the first of a planned series of lunctime walks for staff yesterday. We were lucky to have the sun shining as Jack Murphy led a tour around UCC's beautiful collection of trees and shrubs. Looking forward to part two already!
