Maundy Thursday 2024. I'll remember singing, 'Sweet Sacrament divine - ark from the ocean's roar' as a storm roared outside, & rattled the doors. I'm sure there's a sermon in there. Here at the altar of repose is the calm in the storm & the calm before the storm of Good Friday.

This Sunday we welcome back Fr Jon Fox, as our visiting preacher for our 10am Parish Eucharist. Fr Jon was on placement with us during his training, and is now curate at All Saints, Upper Norwood. Please pray for him as he prepares to be ordained priest this summer.

The cyber attack on the NHS IT System has caused significant distress and delays. I had an appointment to see one of my consultants today and I was meant to have a venipuncture (blood test). It could take weeks to solve the problem. Hopefully I’ll return in about 4-5 weeks time!

Five years ago today I was dangerously ill and required emergency open heart surgery. I was anointed and given the last rites on 16 July 2019. To God be the glory, I continue to be stable and reasonably well. 🙏🏽

I am utterly disturbed and shocked at the horrible stabbings and deaths in Merseyside. This is especially worrying as I have young grandchildren who attend events during the school holidays! Praying for everyone affected or concerned! 🙏🏽
