The people in my mentions bitching about races on Prime are so exhausting. OH NO, possibly the best NASCAR TV coverage ever is on a streaming service with a free 30-day trial! But I wanted to watch more ads and have no post-race and pay for my Amazon shipping. You bastards! 😭

My colleague Luke Smith has some reporting here that further indicates F1 may really run head-to-head with the Indy 500 at the same time on the same day in North America.

The artist formerly known as Atlanta Motor Speedway is now EchoPark Speedway. EchoPark is owned by Sonic Automotive, which is run by David Smith (brother of Marcus, son of Bruton). It's a seven-year deal between Smith family properties.

I never called Phoenix "ISM Raceway" but definitely called Charlotte "Lowe's" and sometimes called Sonoma "Infineon" back in the day. A lot of people still say "Gateway" instead of "WWT." EchoPark needs to stick around for a long time for people to use that instead of "Atlanta."

Was Nashville a good race? 67.1 percent of you said Yes. Ranks last of the five Nashville races so far, but they're all within 15% of each other. Here they are in order of year: 2021: 77.4 2022: 71.2 2023: 81.7 2024: 72.2 2025: 67.1

Interesting nugget in here: NASCAR had a bit more competition from the NBA for the 600, which indicates higher overlap with a younger audience than it previously had (thanks to being on Prime).

The race after the 600 last year was Gateway and FS1 pulled 2.46 million for that. So looking at around a 400k viewer loss for the comparable week on Prime vs. FS1. Still think that's pretty solid overall for a NASCAR race on streaming.
