NEMA MEETS NABWERU RESIDENTS AHEAD OF EVICTION FROM LUBIGI WETLAND National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has, Thursday 18th July, engaged residents of Nabweru South - Nansana who were served with Restoration Orders for degrading the Lubigi Wetland System.


National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has, Friday, hosted 30 winners of the Wetlands Management Awareness Campaign at its headquarters in Kampala. Winners were received by the Executive Director, Barirega Akankwasah, PhD, who commended them for their commitment to environmental protection in their respective communities.

However, the farm lacked the required documentation, in contravention of Sections 162(e), 163, and 164 of the Act.

NIRA conducts National Identity Cards renewal of NEMA staff. The ED of #NEMA Dr. Barirega Akankwasah, PhD undertakes renewal of his national identity card from NEMA House. This has been a good gesture and commitment to service delivery to bring this exercise closer to the staff of NEMA.
