Last night of BBC Proms on Saturday, Choral Evensong recording on Wednesday. First, an absolute treat for BBC Singers with David Hill to be joined by our colleague and friend Steve Rosenberg, recording a song he wrote and accompanied.
Today we celebrate so much-the wonderful history of BBC Singers, the bright future on the horizon & all the brilliant people we work with. Personally, the biggest cause for celebration is the current members of the group. Remarkably talented, unbelievably versatile and kind.🎂🎁
The incredible BBC Singers are 100 today! 🎉 On behalf of us all at the BBC Concert Orchestra, happy birthday and thank you for your wonderful music making 🎶
Delighted BBC Singers will continue our work with National Youth Choir. Exciting times ahead. 🎶

Congratulations to Alexander, winner of the Eric Ericson award, who will be conducting BBC Singers in 2025. A tough decision for the jury, with three exceptional conductors making the final of the competition. Swedish Radio Choir were on fabulous form.

A very special day of broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 next Sunday, to mark the start of Advent. Our presenters will be in Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cornwall, the Highlands, Cambridge, Bellaghy and Swansea, sharing wonderful seasonal music, carols, and stories with a host of special guests.
Great to hear Ashley Grote with BBC Singers, in what was to be the final occasion Stephen conducted a choir. Luckily the final take was recorded visually, as the sound dissipated in the incredible acoustic of King’s. Everyone at BBC Singers was proud of our association with SJC.
Join our seasonal celebration of Christmas carols from across the country 🎶 From the Highlands of Scotland to St Michael’s Mount Cornwall, Swansea Bay to Bellaghy, Northern Ireland, it all starts at WWT Martin Mere with Tom McKinney Tune in now on BBC Sounds:
Sorry not to be with BBC Symphony Orchestra & Chorus as they pay tribute to the late, great Sir Andrew Davis, but fitting to be in a building that meant so much to him.
Still time to get your ticket from tomorrow night’s online Cathedral Music Trust Christmas Quiz, hosted by Alexander Armstrong. Setting questions has been great fun - tickets here cathedralmusictrust.org.uk/events/quizmas… 🎄 🎶
So lovely that BBC Singers final concert of 2024 in the middle of our centenary season was in St Stephen’s, Ambridge. Thanks so much for hosting us, and for the warm hospitality in The Bull afterwards. Happy Christmas everyone, especially the wonderful team at The Archers.
The #BantamOfTheOpera choir are rehearsing with the fabulous BBC Singers at Milton Court, ahead of this afternoon’s Songs From the Shows concert. 🎶 Loving that Conductor @OwainPark is wearing the Bradford City AFC (P) shirt to support us. ⚽️ @Bradford2025 BBC Leeds Brett Cullen
