Our multi-week propagation experiment is coming to a close. Greatest takeaway? Don’t drink the classroom sink water! 😬Not a single root grew on that sweet potato vine. Rain barrel, filtered refill stations, and Deer Park® are much better options for watering our plants!🌿

Beyond proud of my kids & incredibly grateful for our families… It was a long day of student-led conferences, but the Ss knocked it out of the park. They discussed academic strengths & weaknesses, shared their perspectives on behavior, set goals, and highlighted fun lessons.👏🏻

Book Character Day fun!

Peers scored partner writings with VDOE rubrics this afternoon, as we leveled up our editing/revision process. Incredible conversations were happening all across the room…as well as some “ah-ha” moments! Proud of these young authors!

Check out these super cool mini Rube Goldbergs that we created to wrap up our Force, Energy & Motion unit! Students used their knowledge of energy transfers and friction to create designs that landed a ball in a cup.

Students used SchoolAI to personalize their learning experience in our ELA block. After reading about watersheds, oceans, the water cycle, and green efforts, they dove into conversations about the saying, “We all live downstream!” Chesapeake Bay Foundation, we’re ready for ya! 🌿💦

Randolph Elementary #RESgardenclub got straight to work today! We finished clean up and prepped ALL the beds for new plants! Then, we separated seeds, made props from my Echeverria, and Rosemary sprigs! Phew! What a day!

The cutest little PreK turkeys put on a fabulous show to jumpstart the holidays! Grateful for my little guy, his wonderful teachers, and his sweet friends.🦃
