Women’s Health Minister Jenni Minto MSP encouraged girls to accept HPV vaccination to help eliminate cervical cancer. No cases have been detected in fully vaccinated girls who received a first dose at age 12-13 years. #PreventCervicalCancer #CervicalScreeningScot

A rare red weather warning has been issued by @MetOffice for Friday. Police Scotland is urging people not to travel in affected areas. #StormÉowyn is expected to cause danger to life and significant disruption. Our resilience operation has been activated. Watch for more.

⚠️🟥 With a red weather warning in place across Argyll and Bute tomorrow I would encourage all of my constituents to take care, pay close attention to guidance from the Met Office and Police Scotland and avoid travel in the areas affected.

The RED weather warning we have today is very serious. There are extensive school closures, transport disruption and many dangers from the strong wind. Police Scotland have issued do not travel advice. Please follow all of the advice and stay safe.

Just finished Scottish Government resilience call on #StormÉowyn. The predicted very strong winds are here and there is widespread disruption to power supplies, transport and schools. I am grateful to many who have followed the advice not to travel. Please continue to do so and stay safe.

First Minister John Swinney has chaired a Scottish Government Resilience Room meeting. As #StormÉowyn continues, people are asked not to travel during the red weather warning and to be mindful that dangerous conditions will persist into this evening. gov.scot/news/response-…
