It's obvious that this fenced exclusion zone in Killarney NP worked, at least for a while: just look at all those young self-seeded native trees. Sustained hard (night) culling of sika deer + feral goats would have a similar effect throughout the *whole* park. Just do it.

I must respectfully disagree: Irish nature was better off in the past when there were *more* farmers. The problem is the industrial, nature-killing model they've been pushed into. We must make nature-friendly farming and, even more so, **rewilding**, feasible livelihood options
