I just read -- in the book SEE WHAT YOU MADE ME DO by Jess Hill -- about the incident in Stockholm for which Stockholm Syndrome is named, and I am royally pissed off on behalf of all women, buckle up.

Hey #ScienceTwitter , I'm running my first set of interviews for grad school candidates this year. Any tips on good questions to ask, things to look for / look out for, best practices for being equitable when evaluating candidates, etc?

Tried to sign my name in a fancy script at the bottom of a letter, but the doc preview doesn't support that typeface so it just looks like I typed my name in an aggressively large font size๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

A quick #academicWriting reminder that Oxford Commas are worth the space they take up. They make things easier to understand for your reviewers, undergrads and internet randos. (SWIDT?)

Asking youths in the lab if they wanna have a "lil journal clizzy" purely for the joy of watching their poorly concealed disgust. Randall Munroe had it right

Professorship #goals ...actually, I have no idea what kind of offhand, slightly unhinged comments I'd find. & I'm only like 80% sure I want to know ๐Ÿคฃ

Did you know that NIH, through, NOT-OD-21-134, allows trainees who have been adversely affected by unsafe or discriminatory environments to rapidly transition into new safe research environments that are safe and supportive to complete their training? orwh.od.nih.gov/career-developโ€ฆ
