New rule: anyone who is the type of person who will brag about their top 10% SLOE on the interview trail should not be getting a top 10% SLOE

Has anybody tried not pre-rounding? Like the whole team just walks into the patient's room without the slightest idea what happened over night. I bet it's exhilarating.

I’ve been watching way too much ER. Now when I go in for a consult I immediately yell out ā€œWHAT DO WE GOT?ā€ Then I wait for somebody to gown and glove me so I can emergently perform a slit lamp exam while screaming out eye drop orders to nobody in particular.

WE DID IT!!! šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰ @IUSMEmergMed residents approved 2 new policies today: no nights or call for residents in their 1st or 3rd trimester, and flexible scheduling for all new parents upon return. Overwhelming support from the residents.

It's possible in the coming days that specialists may be called upon to help out our critical care colleagues, so I thought I'd share a few tips for my fellow ophthalmologists on how to manage a ventilator. Hope this helps...

8 COVID patients with ARDS in ICU and half were severe. My team proned 3 of the severe ARDS with good response to PEEP and proning. Hint to my fellow colleagues in this pandemic- check early for recruitability and consider proning. #COVIDー19 #coronavirus #COVID19 #COVID2019

When he was in midst of the fight against HIV/AIDS, Dr. Fauci was known to run 7 miles daily. I just asked him if he still keeps to that exercise regimen. No, he says, noting that he is working 19 hour days to fight the coronavirus. He is down to 3.5 miles -- at the age of 79.

We Health care professionals did sign up to take care of people...while also being taken care of and protected. We did not ā€œsign upā€ for ā€œthisā€. Good luck to the person who says that to me again.

Here’s my personal algorithm I use and teach for acute agitation in the ED. Droperidol/Midazolam are compatible in the same syringe, and have faster onset than Haloperidol/Lorazepam. No reason I’d ever choose B52 over Drodazolam (...I’m sure someone will let me know 🤣) #FOAMed
