This new book on qualitative research is *practical* and *accessible*, and I wish I had it as a reference during my diss. research. (I contributed a chap w/ Lindsay Mayka 🦞, and it was such a pleasure.) Thanks to the brilliant Sara Wallace Goodman and Dr. Jennifer Cyr for creating it!

We demand that Tulane University stop criminalizing peaceful student protest, lift student & staff suspensions, & drop all criminal charges against members of our community. We defend our students’ right to free speech and political self-expression, & stand in solidarity with them.

The Comparative Politics section will award 12 $500 grants to support members’ travel to the APSA conference this year. Awards are determined by lottery. We especially encourage members at less well-endowed institutions to apply here: apsa.secure-platform.com/a/solicitation… by July 10th.

📢 Just out in Journal of Politics @[email protected]! doi.org/10.1086/729961 (DM me for a copy if you don't have access; pre-print available at guillermotoral.com/turnover.pdf) 🧵⬇️

Our in-progress World Development special issue on the policy consequences of social movements (w/ @garaycand and Jessica Rich) continues to roll out! Check out Anindita Adhikari and Patrick Heller's terrific new article and the thread below with a summary. More soon!

Publication day just in time for vacation! Check out my new article on how social movements fight for policy survival. 👇 Thanks to my delightful co-authors Santiago Anria and @garaycand. And to Comparative Politics for making this a surprisingly smooth process.

Seems the right day to repost this Politico article written a year ago by my brilliant colleague Julia Azari politico.com/news/magazine/…

🌍✨This #WorldAIDSDay, Dr. Helena Achcar reflects on the challenges facing Brazil’s AIDS movements - see the LSE Global Health blog - shorturl.at/xXhZs. Pauperization, de-prioritization, and internal divisions call for unity and alliances to reignite action.
