A surprise visit at the track here in London today from Damian Warner’s mom Brenda. It’s so incredibly apparent how proud she is of her Olympic champion son. And when we chatted, it also became apparent where Damian’s humility comes from. Both so gracious with their time today.

Only four athletes have surpassed the 9000 point mark in the Decathlon. Damian Warner is one of them, doing it with an Olympic record score of 9018 to win gold last summer. And the feeling around his camp here today is that his best days are still ahead of him. CBC Olympics
