Really enjoyed my visit to #Woodbank our new #PICU in #Stockport today. Fully recruited to & taking patients from mid-May, a great facility for Pennine Care NHS FT & NHS Greater Manchester. Good to check in with the #PennineCarePeople who will be delivering this new service & cut the #cake!

Our amazing new PICU, Woodbank! So proud of the team behind this - they developed an evidence based model of care focussed on trauma and gender need & an incredible induction / training programme supported by a stunning environment. Co produced with service users at every step.

It was great to welcome people to Woodbank this week, for a tour of our refurbished psychiatric intensive care unit. The unit at Stepping Hill has six beds to provide care and therapy for women experiencing mental health distress. It's set to open later this month NHS Greater Manchester

Woodbank psychiatric intensive care unit is now open and welcomed the first patients last week. The refurbished unit at Stepping Hill hospital supports women experiencing serious mental illness, such as psychosis or severe depression, closer to home and closer to loved ones.
