Can current unlearning methods remove poisoned training data from a trained model? Our new paper shows that unlearning methods are not quite ready, yet. Looking forward to a lot of interesting work ahead in this area.

Congrats to Dr. Yiwei Lu (Yiwei Lu), who defended his PhD today! Yiwei is a leader in trustworthy AI&ML, and has done breakthrough work on data poisoning attacks. He will be starting as an assistant professor at Université d'Ottawa | University of Ottawa in the fall -- apply to work with him! 💯💯💯
