These are dark, dark times. But we can't let science and reason fade. We can't let lies win. The scientific community must use their voices โ€“ often and together โ€“ to push back against these regressive & hateful forces. Onward.

Our graduate student at University of Waterloo Delaney Nash keeps on producing! An excellent collaboration between our lab, Trevor Charles's, and Steven Short's from U of T Mississauga, on sequencing & analysis of a new #algal #Virus genome. One of the most detailed works in this field in recent years.

This was a very inspiring, thought-provoking talk and discussion on debunking myths about #GMOs by two #NobelPrize Laureates: Donna Strickland and Sir Richard Roberts. We are very lucky to have TRuST University of Waterloo organizing such important events. #GoScience #ScienceUpFirst
