That’s because in many developing countries, you are willing to accept a private market next to a public one. Canada is the only country that religiously refuses to change. Can’t blame political leaders when they do what you want.

My thoughts: We don't need to be the richest country to be happy. We just need a good house to live in, doctors we can rely on etc. Everything else (like driving fancy cars) can be substituted away for activities that make us happy.
