“I see the contours of what will become a story that I will tell myself about myself,”  Madeleine Gray’s ‘Green Dot’ is an exercise in delusion and self-construction, illustrating the contradictions of Millennial womanhood. satpa.pe/DFgk9Zy

The #superstrike at Coles and Woolworths kicks off this week and in this great interview with Jacobin, Delegate and new Union Committee Member Nelio lays out what it is all about. We are just getting started. Make history in RAFFWU! jacobin.com/2023/10/worker… #fightbackwithRAFFWU

Thrilled to have this out in the world! Reading groups are powerful tools for research and field building - even in the surreal climate of higher education we are living through today.

I've just sent this letter nwmd.io/s/twitter/ZBc9… to @unisqvc to help bring the university back to the bargaining table so that NTEU members University of Southern Queensland have the same job security entitlements as other university staff.

Will be interested to see if nursing, teaching, social work or psychology follow, courses that are over represented by women and require up to 1,000 hours of unpaid placements

I’m 34 today. Rather than say happy birthday, if you were so inclined, please tweet CEASEFIRE NOW / END THE OCCUPATION or ABOLISH APARTHEID / FREE EVERYONE. I can’t think of a better gift than you agreeing to take any one minor action to build pressure to stop this genocide 🙏🏽💜

There has been a lot of chatter about lived/living EXPERIENCE vs lived/living EXPERTISE. Last of the publications from former student (now DR) Giselle Newton's PhD project is out now on the rights and needs of donor-conceived people sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

So much hand wringing about 'activism journalism' without ever acknowledging that all that criticism against anything that isn't the status quo is also 'activism journalism'. Actively working to uphold power structures is still activism

What is the venn diagram between people accusing Sam Kerr of 'reverse racism' and people who say Adam Goodes was only booed because of his style of play

BREAKING I’m not easily shocked. But emails by a currently-serving #Cranbrook teacher, seen by headmaster Nicholas Sampson & brought to school council by us yesterday, genuinely floored me. Teacher looking up girls’ skirts. Sampson knew & promoted him. He’s resigned.

Mahmoud received a scholarship study anywhere in the world, and he chose the University of Melbourne. Devastatingly, he was killed by Israel's genocide last week. Uni Melb's Gaza solidarity encampment renames Arts West to Mahmoud’s Hall.

This is how UniMelb advertises itself. You’re telling me this institution can’t track and trace how its research might contribute to the deaths of brown babies in Palestine? Or, won’t?

I submitted my PhD from Cambridge encampment, where I lived recently. A thesis I dedicate to the millions who died, were tortured or have been exiled for demanding freedom and to the brave students who interrupted their education to join the encampment to stop the war (1/4).

This thesis is officially submitted 😍 Thank you to everyone who has supported, nourished, calmed, and inspired me along the way, especially Linda Przhedetsky , Shawna Tang 邓诗薇 and Prof Catherine Driscoll , but the network of people that’s made this thesis possible is too big to name.
