Change starts with us as individuals. If one individual becomes more compassionate it will influence others and so we will change the world.

Scott Jamama’s restaurant on Diamond Lake was broken into last night, so instead of throwing out food, chef/owner Frank Wolsey brought it all down to give away to any and all. This is Minneapolis.

In Camden, NJ, protestors took to the streets to peacefully protest racial injustice. When police saw them marching, they did something. They decided to join them. #riots2020 #GeorgeFloyd #laprotest #LosAngelesriots #GeorgeFloydProtests

Holy shit, this is amazing. Cops in Flint, MI have laid down their batons and taken off their helmets after protesters chant #WalkWithUs. "We want to make this a parade." #Sundaymorning

Baby Boomers. Gen X. Millennials. Gen Y. Gen Z. I'm really tired of being separated out and categorized in so many ways. How about if we all work at being The Re-generation? You know, the people who decided to try again and do better - together. #regeneration #noother

What is important is not so much how long you live as whether you live a meaningful life. This doesn’t mean accumulating money and fame, but being of service to your fellow human beings. It means helping others if you can, but even if you can’t do that, at least not harming them.

Talking to someone with an open mind is seriously one of my favorite things because there's never an end to what you can talk about and learn.

Wherever I go, I try to cultivate a sense of the oneness of humanity. I see everyone I meet as being essentially the same. And people respond positively to this. Animals too. Fear leads to isolation, so it's helpful to be open to others.

More than just about anything else, kids want to belong... to someONE or someTHING. I’m not supposing that educators can always provide the answer... but an awareness of the fundamental humanity of their students is always a good start.
