From someone who helped create this mess, this smug deflection is almost impressive. The usual ill-informed take from the permanently comfortable — baffled that doctors are angry while watching their profession gutted in real time. “Different groups celebrated” — sure.

Wes Streeting seems to be under the illusion that this isn’t a pay dispute. Doctors voted to strike to restore our pay, after a 21% real terms cut since 2008. He’s offered nothing meaningful. We’ve been clear: move a doctor from £18.62/hr to £22.67/hr - not even all at once.

Lol this is what Wes Streeting and Department of Health and Social Care don’t tell you On most days the NHS is short staffed and unsafe (extremely dangerously so) Yet they don’t say anything about this Only on strike days this somehow matters And ‘journalists’ will never report this - they are gov

"£104bn of water industry investment will come from bill payers, environment secretary concedes." And there we finally have it, there is no "£104 billion of private sector investment". Question is how long has the SoS known this and why has he kept repeating that myth? Well

286,000 people have already signed the very brilliant SOS Whitstable's petition. They would like to get it to 300,000. You know what you need to do my friends, get cracking.

I’ve been a Doctor 36yrs & I understand why Residents have resorted to strikes 20% less pay than Drs in 2008, £100k student debt, poor working conditions/job security, higher pension contributions, longer working life as pension after 67yrs I had it good & Karol had it better

State Pension error! Did you take time off work (1978 to 2010) to look after children or someone with long term disability? You could be owed £10,000s Full help to check in... moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/home-r… In brief: 100,000s wrongly have Nat Insurance gaps that reduce your State

1/8 Environment Minister Steve Reed is telling you that he won’t nationalise the water industry, because it would cost £100bn. 👀but where does that figure come from? 👀 Reed claims that it comes from within his own department. 🚨However, it looks suspiciously like it might

Lord Sikka reminds parliament that using the same formula that Ofwat had used to calculate the cost of nationalising the water industry "A £10,000 Robin Reliant bought in 1990 by Del Boy would now have a value of over £50,000". Ofwat calculate that Thames Water 💧 is currently

Steve Reed has done some dodgy 'Del boy' maths! 🤔 He reckons it will cost £100 billion to nationalise water. 🤑 By those maths a £10k Reliant Robin bought in 1989 would be worth £50k now! 🤯 Time to #ComeCleanSteve Sign our petition below 👇

You have fully lost doctors at this point Wes Streeting Our assistants are paid £10K more than us - until that is not the case, your words mean nothing

This is the status quo Mr Streeting is defending and argues is perfectly reasonable. 👇🏼 The assistant to the doctor earns 46.4% more than the doctor in London. Make it make sense. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wes Streeting Wes Streeting, you’ve probably posted more than Steve Barclay and Victoria Atkins combined on the eve of the strikes. Perhaps you could focus that attention on preventing the strikes instead. As you’ve famously once said

Wes Streeting Labour voters are breaking ranks from this Labour government. This is a government that goes after pensioners, the disabled and now doctors. The Labour government has been dangerous and destructive to allow this strike to go ahead. Pay docs 22.67£/hr and strikes are off.
