It was wonderful catching up with so many people who have worked to deliver a new standard for button batteries at this afternoon’s parliamentary reception, and to see Stacy and Holly whose support for this vital work has been inspiring.

On this VE80 day I am thinking of my father Eric, who was on Gold Beach on D Day and was part of the liberation of Brussels where these pictures were taken.
