I have written to both London North Eastern Railway and CrossCountry Trains to highlight the need for greater services to/from Glasgow ahead of the December 2025 timetable changes. Improved transport links are key for economic growth and attracting investment to Glasgow.

Today I questioned the Governor of the Bank of England on the importance of increasing housing supply. This Labour Government is committed to building 1.5 million new homes, giving more families the opportunity to have a secure home they can call their own.

I had a fantastic visit this morning to Project Ability at Trongate 103 and was delighted to meet with many artists and volunteers from across Glasgow. I recently visited their Glasgow 850 Exhibition, which was brilliant and is definitely worth a visit.

A brilliant visit this morning to AAC Clyde Space with Mike Kane MP, Minister for Aviation, Maritime and Security. Glasgow is the largest producer of small satellites outside of California and the industry provides great job opportunities for our young people.

It is vital that connections between Glasgow and the North of England are improved. I look forward to engaging with London North Eastern Railway and CrossCountry Trains and Avanti West Coast to encourage more train services that are both affordable and reliable for my constituents.

I am delighted that Department for Transport have announced funding for a feasibility study to improve accessibility at Bellgrove station in my seat. Many of the stations in my seat do not have step free access. This is a welcome step in ensuring the railway is accessible for all.

I had a fantastic time visiting Empower Glasgow Unity at Sunnybank Street in Dalmarnock recently. It was great to meet everyone involved and to answer some brilliant questions about my role as the local MP.

The suffering in Gaza is inhumane. Israel must let the United Nations save lives. Yesterday the UK announced our intention to recognise a Palestinian state at UNGA, to protect the viability of a two-state solution. No other vision offers dignity and security for Israelis and Palestinians.
