1. Trump & the GOP want you to believe their budget bill is going to cut your taxes & save you money. They say that if they do not pass the bill being debated now, tax cuts passed during the first Trump admin will lapse. They say that will trigger “a massive tax hike."

Republicans say if the Trump tax cuts expire, it will trigger “a massive tax hike." In fact, you prolly won't notice. If their bill passes, you will save $14 a week. If it fails, you will pay $9 a week. Nearly 80% of households make under $100K a year. This bill

If you're making less than 80K a year, you won't notice any difference in your tax bill. You'll save $14 a week. And that's before inflation. This legislation isn't for you, but the Republicans want you to believe it is.

Folds: If we’ve been told our whole lives that we can’t spend money on the arts because they’re not important—then why was taking over the Kennedy Center and the arts the first thing they did? Why would that be the first thing? If it’s not important? It is extremely important.

I gotta say: This stuff is happening more and more with POTUS. Just a startling clip where Trump does not appear to be able to articulate what his tariff plan is without the help of Lutnick, and says literally incomprehensible word salad in response to a straightforward question.

This is correct. We know from past experience with state work requirements for Medicaid that this is how they save money: they create a lot of red tape, and then boot eligible people off the rolls for not navigating it correctly.
