I agree with John Ennis. Derby points races and all Grade 1’s should be equal weight. Handicap races were developed way before the graded races/committees. His horse ran the best race tonight, gave the winner 6 pounds and got beat 1 length. He shouldn’t be penalized in a KY Derby
