Farewell to the Swedish Lesser White fronted Geese. After going AWOL for a month they reappeared Flamborough Bird Observatory over the weekend. Today they relocated to Spurn Bird Observatory no doubt looking to catch a Hull ferry bound for Holland.

We've been loving the surprise early morning visits from the Guillemots recently! Their chatter is a lovely sound after the quietness of the winter months. 🎶 📸 Guillemots - Ellen Leach

A special bird of the Andes in Colombia & also neighbouring Ecuador. This Chestnut-bellied Cotinga watched one early March morning en route from Armenia to Cajamarca with the Birding Abroad group. A shy Masked Mountain Tanager completed the swoop. Photo courtesy of Bob Martin.

El ultima dia en Mitu. Long days in the sultry heat of terra firma & white sand forests where rivers run the colour of Yorkshire Tea. A multitude of Quetzals, barbets toucanets and 30+ spp. of Ant "thingies". My favourite moment was a Rufous Potoo ♥️ to Monica a la Hotel Brazilia

Months end Flamborough Bird Observatory and eyes turn to the sea. At the colony eggs are hatching and the auks are bringing in beakfuls of sand eels and sprats. The Kittiwakes are still lining their nests and incubating fresh clutches. #seabirds

ORCA!!! Seen distantly from the Isle of May in last hour - four animals (at least one bull) beside Bass Rock heading west into Firth of Firth. Big concentration of Gannets around them. Epic!
