Farewell to the Swedish Lesser White fronted Geese. After going AWOL for a month they reappeared Flamborough Bird Observatory over the weekend. Today they relocated to Spurn Bird Observatory no doubt looking to catch a Hull ferry bound for Holland.

A partnership with Flamborough Bird Observatory We're delighted to update on our partnership with FBO to support the development of their birding and conservation work at the magnificent Flamborough Head. garganeytrust.org.uk/2025/01/24/a-p… via Garganey Trust

A la Puente de Tayazu en Vaupes Department. Amazing to witness the "fiery dispay" of the Fiery Topaz colibri at first light. Another hummer caught our attention which turned out to be this Fiery tailed Awlbill a Colombian aves rare Birds Colombia

A special bird of the Andes in Colombia & also neighbouring Ecuador. This Chestnut-bellied Cotinga watched one early March morning en route from Armenia to Cajamarca with the Birding Abroad group. A shy Masked Mountain Tanager completed the swoop. Photo courtesy of Bob Martin.

Months end Flamborough Bird Observatory and eyes turn to the sea. At the colony eggs are hatching and the auks are bringing in beakfuls of sand eels and sprats. The Kittiwakes are still lining their nests and incubating fresh clutches. #seabirds
