Can confirm… Some Henry James books are difficult to plow through —the sentence structure and word choices demand exhausting attention. But the payoff is worth it. Portrait of a Lady is different. Easier to read and just as meaningful. I highly recommend it.

A sweet poem in Thelma by Marie Corelli (1887) Loving for love’s sake; and the folly of being seduced by beauty, youth, and wealth (not that there’s anything wrong with those things, haha).

Moll Flanders by Daniel Defoe (1722) (Yeah, the Robinson Crusoe author…) I’m currently reading another book that asserts that Moll Flanders is a foundational (defining) novel. Even though published in the early eighteenth century, it’s pretty spicy stuff. Very entertaining!

Lost and Found Volume Two by Vita Luna Vita Luna Books 📚 Lost and Found 📚 Still reading it but already liking it. First paragraph of first story hooked me: ~had a dream can’t remember it but I know it was very weird… Also, I’m worried my kids will write this on my tombstone: “Yet now he’s gone,

Lost and Found Volume Two by Vita Luna Vita Luna Books 📚 Lost and Found 📚 I’m glad I bought this collection of short stories for several reasons: Of course, there’s the good stories. I liked “Life an Ashtray,” which kept a log of one’s daily smokes. “Dangerous Chemistry” was perfect from beginning to

To those of you with green thumbs, this will be thoroughly unremarkable. But for me, never have I ever grown anything edible… until now!
