Every new airport is an act of climate vandalism - and this one is particularly bad. It breaks Albanian national law and international biodiversity protection conventions that Albania has ratified.

Heard this story covered in BBC World Service today . Never knew Albania has so much birdlife and that flamingoes are found there too, amazing. Sad if the new airport leads to habitat destruction and people like Jared Kushner contribute to its damage

🚨 The Camargue’s #wetlands are at risk! These vital ecosystems purify our water, protect against floods, and shelter biodiversity. Losing them could mean degraded water quality, less flood protection, and a loss of wildlife. 💧 Let’s protect this natural heritage! #SaveCamargue

Access to the Vlora Airport construction site in Vjosa-Narta was denied again this year, blocking the bird census. This marks the third consecutive year, despite the Bern Convention's call to conduct such monitoring.
