It’s amazing to see the growth in our enrollment over the past our years. We used to fit around this track with room to spare. It was a great Derby Day Laukhuf Elementary!

Our school kicked off EL Unit 1 on Monday. 4th grade started with a ‘Pawty’ to kick-off their unit on ‘Love That Dog.’ Today, all four classes were making inferences, discussing characters’ feelings, and restating the ‘gist’ of what they read. Way to go!

Ms. Mason led 4th graders through role play based on a text from their EL unit, ‘Divided Loyalties.’ Colonists were taxed for everyday items and their ‘money’ was given to the king. Students wrote a reflection on the experience. Students were highly engaged!
