Yesterday I gave a lecture to UoBMBChB students making a case that tobacco control is everyone's business. Tobacco remains the greatest preventable cause of death in England. No other consumer product kills two thirds of its users. It must stop. As a country, we can stop it.

The King has been diagnosed with an incidental cancer following what on the NHS would have been an elective op. Waits are now so big in England, approx 27k people will have an incidental cancer like him but won't know yet as they've not been seen. Scary. thetimes.co.uk/article/70fb63…
