🎉 ALQST welcomes the release of several more prisoners of conscience in #SaudiArabia. Yet this doesn’t mark the end of the injustice they face, as many are subjected to arbitrary travel bans. Meanwhile, countless others remain unjustly imprisoned. alqst.org/en/post/sporad…

Horrific. As he had been forcibly disappeared for years, and amid the total lack of transparency in the country, it wasn't even known that he was on death row. May he rest in peace, and his killers be held to account.

Journalist Turki al-Jasser was executed on Saturday after years of enforced disappearance, on vague charges of terrorism, treason and endangering national security. His execution illustrates the lengths Saudi authorities go to suppress peaceful dissent. alqst.org/en/post/saudi-…

A glaring contradiction. While my feeds increasingly feature tourists and professionals visiting and doing flashy work in Saudi Arabia, more and more Saudis themselves- including its bravest and brightest- are being barred from leaving through arbitrary travel bans.
