CONFIRMED: Department of Health and Social Care announces NHS staff in England 3.6% pay rise. Consultants will get 4% and resident (junior) doctors will get 4% + £750 consolidated sum. Pay to be backdated to April and in pay packets in August. Extra pay funded by "cutting duplication and waste" says DH.
