But there was also time for teams to talk, reflect, laugh & eat together which is an essential foundation for good practice, however tough the work that we do.

And for us to make new connections. It was a huge privilege to meet parish nurses from Ukraine & humbling to hear about their extraordinary life saving work at the frontline & with displaced people & traumatised communities. How they manage their self care is a lesson to us all.

Working in a speciality that is small in number means that meeting in person is an occasional yet deeply encouraging opportunity for parish nurses and we were delighted for those from the UK who were able to attend…and entertain, revealing hidden talents 😉😁 What a ceilidh 🎶😁

Saddened that I could not be there in person but can see that it was a great gathering of Parish nurses across the globe!!
