Our recent research in collaboration with Roland Jäger and Christoph Binder indicates that clonal haemopoiesis (CHIP) is a novel risk factor for (unprovoked) venous thromboembolism (VTE). Previously, CHIP has been identified as risk factor for atherosclerotic vascular disease.
