@PEHJackson The University of Virginia changed this policy at 9:52 AM today after a faculty member pointed put that recreational tents are allowed on campus without a permit. This is #NotGoodOrGreat. This is #NotGoodPolicy.

None of these folks showed up when I lived on campus and white supremacists with tikki torches yelling “Jews will not replace us” marched through campus as I hid my three kids.

When neo-Nazis torch marched on UVa Grounds in 2017 and brutally attacked students the cops did….. literally nothing.

At UVA we organized many protests including one where we disrupted the Board Meeting by coming in and chanting for living wages. No pepper spray, no riot gear, no problem. There’s no reason to escalate this way with your own students.
