Newtonian gravity is not a limiting case of general relativity. Newtonian gravity is an action-at-a-distance theory. The second is a metric theory. General Relativity does not reduce to Newtonian gravity when c —> ∞.

Quantum mechanics is not a limiting case of quantum field theory. They are "disjoint theories" as Dirac said once. Quantum field theory does not reduce to quantum mechanics when c —> ∞.
