Always good a good time showing new people what the Delta has to offer. Had a good time yesterday @jwadeexperience. Come back any time.

22 days after planting, we have emergence! Stand isn’t great, but it’s there. In the coming weeks, we will get stand counts to compare to seeding rates to determine percent emergence. #2xAg2030 MU Extension - Agriculture and Environment Program

One of the first true “foliar” diseases of the season has been a more common observation this spring….Septoria brown spot. Continuous soybean is the major player in disease onset. Symptoms during vegetative stages are not yielding-limiting. Best medicine = rotation #mscrops

Got called to multiple fields today with what appears to be manganese deficiency. This can happen when soil pH is high (7.0+). In these fields soil pH was around 7.5. #manganese #soybeans

The Tom Allen and I got called to a field today to look at what might appear like some kind of disease in #soybean. It actually turned out to be a scattered case of injury from Dectes Stem Borer in the trifoliate petiole. No yield impact expected here. MSU Extension

Late season nutrient deficiency has been the common problem this week in Mississippi #soybeans. A lot of times this takes place when we have shallow rooting systems that occur as a result of compaction, abnormal soil pH, or excess soil moisture. MSU Extension

I am incredibly blessed to get to work with Mr. Bill and other soybean farmers like him across the state of Mississippi. So glad we got to feature him and Paul O'Neal in this issue of Extension Matters. Check it out! #soybeans #extension extension.msstate.edu/extension-matt…
