My comment on developments in the first #Apartheid -prosecution in 🇿🇦. "The ruling is a significant victory for the prosecuting authority, civil society and for the victims of apartheid."

Neoliberalism is not just an economic doctrine. It's a political & moral order that extols the individual and placed her above the collective. It hates mass politics, solidarity and language of citizenship. It prefers consumers, taxpayers etc. Guluva-for-himself!

Silences in NGO Discourses Across the continent? I don't know what it means for Africa to "perish" but you can be sure that many have died & will die, who otherwise would have survived. One can be critical of reliance on US aid without being flippant about people's deaths to make that point...

The TRC is often criticised for not going far enough in its recommendations. But one of the things it recommended was a wealth tax on corporations for their role in perpetuating & benefiting from apartheid. The democratic govt made very curious choices. mg.co.za/article/2003-0…

Meanwhile if she was selling this weed from a store in a suburban strip mall with a giant 420 sign outside she would have been left alone 🙃 Absolutely insane, two tier system

This statement appears to condition humanitarian aid on a ceasefire. This is illegal. Germany has a legal obligation under art. 1 of Geneva Convention IV to ensure that Israel respects its provisions, including by agreeing to and facilitating humanitarian relief immediately.

For the first time in its history, Germany - a founding member of the International Criminal Court - openly embraces an #ICC suspect, wanted on charges of, among other things, using the starvation of civilian as a weapon of war.

The irony of trying to make a (valid) point about human rights by resorting to ableist slurs. Shameful, disgusting, and plan embarrassing.

Israel assassinated you, Hassan. They murdered you in your hospital bed defenseless, in your sleep. They killed you after you survived an Israeli attack, after you had already endured so much. They killed you because your voice was too loud… too powerful.

I've said it a million times by now: Israel is specifically assassinating everyone who can give testimony to the ICJ about its genocide. That's what this phase of the genocide is about. Anyone who has information on Israel's war crimes should write it down as testimony and send

Today is Nakba Day commemorating the mass displacement and dispossession of Palestinians in 1948, violence which didn’t start or end in ‘48. It’s so jarring to observe this day while Palestinians are being slaughtered and starved right now while the whole world watches.

It is so devastating once you fully appreciate that every inch of suffering, oppression, injustice, and indignity on this planet is wholly human-made and avoidable.
