#HappeningNow Pammie Tolentino Pammie Tolentino, DOST-Newton PhD scholar from University of Glasgow presents catchment-based approaches to sustainable river management.

Richard Williams Pammie Tolentino Pammie's PhD investigates catchment characteristics in the response of river basins to hydromet events, supported by the DOST Philippines Newton Fund & British Council

Here, we also quantified the relative contribution of mining to downstream sedimentation (compared with natural and agricultural sources) and examined the contamination signal in the floodplain ⚠️ 👇👇👇 sciencedirect.com/science/articl… Mikael Attal Simon Marius Mudd

It’s been a year since the “Making space for PH rivers”. We are now working with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in “Reconfiguring River Management in the Philippines” co-funded by UofG IAA - find us on BlueSky 🦋. This workshop gathered river basin managers from all over the country to talk about our rivers.

Science for impact 👏🇵🇭🇬🇧 Pammie Tolentino

Rain was pouring in Glasgow, much like the flow of insights and discussions at the two-day Urban River Restoration workshop organized by BSG Geomorphology and Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA). The 1st activity on Day 1 let us explore options to restore an urban river and understand the constraints.
