Delighted that Chemistry at York has realised that although for some colleagues this may be a super-productive time in terms of papers & grants, for others, caring responsibilities make it a total nightmare. As a result, our workload model will be fully revisited to ensure equity.

Congratulations to Geoff Waterhouse (University of Auckland | Waipapa Taumata Rau) for winning the Maurice Wilkins Centre Prize for Chemical Science 2020! This is the premier prize of the NZIC and is awarded to a candidate based on the excellence and impact of their chemistry.

Our paper on efficient exciton transport via 'transient delocalization' is out now in Science Advances. Exciton diffusion lengths >300nm in P3HT nanofibers! Great collaboration with Ian Manners Research Group Justin Hodgkiss, Sean M. Collins and David Beljonne. advances.sciencemag.org/content/7/32/e…

Great collaboration with Utrecht University Kristiaan Neyts daniel vanmaekelberg Justin Hodgkiss @MacDiarmidInsti to unravel Stimulated Emission Mechanisms in Colloidal CdSe Quantum Rings, a new topology for Cd-based nanocrystals ! Out now in Nano Letters pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

A great read for (after?) the holidays 🎅! We always talk about intensity, but what about the phase of light when it meets atomically thin CdSe platelets ? - with Justin Hodgkiss Yera Ussembayev Kristiaan Neyts Dries Van Thourhout Photonics UGent Shalini Singh pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Quite a useful paper from Rao Group Michael Price Justin Hodgkiss : Extracting quantitative dielectric properties from pump-probe spectroscopy.

Calling all mountain-biking #materials #scientists. Our #AMN10 Chair checks out the mountain bike trails in Rotorua, New Zealand ahead of AMN10 in Feb 2023. Just over a month to go to Abstract deadline - submit your abstract here confer.eventsair.com/amn10/call-for…

Kia Ora Wellington ! Good to be back after 5 years for a truly exciting symposium, some obligatory Mount Doom walks, flat whites and of course friends that are better in 3D compared to Zoom. #NewZealand #aotearoa @MacDiarmidInsti Justin Hodgkiss
