As fentanyl use rapidly spreads among teens, the world around them has been unprepared to manage the crisis. Few doctors offer the recommended medication, most schools are ill-equipped to help and the justice system is treating children as criminals. propublica.org/article/teens-…

Being able to identify hoaxes, avoid scams and debunk propaganda is a civic skill required in today's information society. That's why the curriculum of students in Finland includes media literacy lessons, aimed at safeguarding a precious resource: the truth. Correspondent Chris

This might feel good in the moment, but it will hurt journalism, not Jeff Bezos. A thriving and independent Washington Post that doesn't need a billionaire's pocket change to survive should be the goal here.

New: It took three ER visits and 20 hours before a hospital admitted Nevaeh Crain, 18, as her condition worsened. Doctors insisted on two ultrasounds to confirm “fetal demise.” She's one of at least two Texas women who died under the state's abortion ban. propub.li/40rAXvw

We are very grateful to the United States for all the support. I’m thankful to President Trump, Congress for their bipartisan support, and American people. Ukrainians have always appreciated this support, especially during these three years of full-scale invasion.

Reading about the 1940-41 Blitz, I learned the Nazis dropped 13,000 tons of bombs on 8.5 million Londoners, killing 30,000, or one in 280. Israel in 2023-24 dropped 6 times the tonnage for twice as long on an area a fifth as big with 1/4 as many people, killing 47,000––one in 45.
