Congrats to Ravi Ravi Patel on final acceptance of his lead author "pandemic project" in mBio! (Coauthors Prem Kandel, PhD, Kevin Hockett, and Eboni Traverso.) In place of a celebratory lunch out, I got him a celebratory project-themed facemask.

While I was out of the lab during the pandemic, Drs. Wende Liu (CAAS) and Xiao-Lin Chen (Huazong Agricultural University) gave me a fun opportunity to collaborate on an Annual Review. I learned a lot about PTMs in regulating bacterial and fungal pathogens! annualreviews.org/doi/pdf/10.114…
