Check out our spotlight article in Trends in Genetics written with Michael Berger highlighting the recently published method for genetic ancestry inference from cancer-derived data by Belleau et al (PMID: 36351074). authors.elsevier.com/c/1gowscQbJ7Wj1

New BIG OncoKB™ release people & we hv >7000 cancer mut! Since we gp mut such as truncating or exon deletion etc together this # is staggering! + ESR1 LBD in breast, KRAS G12C in PDAC & ERBB2 amp in biliary tract are all now std care biomarkers - ingrafitinib removed

How 2 MSK-developed #cancer #genetictests - MSK-IMPACT® (which uses a tissue biopsy to identify the best treatment) & MSK-ACCESS® (a blood test to detect a patient's response to treatment) - have helped revolutionize the way cancer is treated worldwide: bit.ly/3ptKeTR

The publication of the whole genomes from the US AllofUsResearch cohort is great to see, but the choice of how to represent an overview of the genetic relationships has (rightly) drawn controversy, in particular how the concepts of ethnicity and race are mapped to it.
