Held up again with weather and yesterday a broken down snow machine. 780 km to go and 5 instruments to pick up before we fly out in 6 days. Wish us luck! | Find me with inReach➜inreachlink.com/OCRVFZZ

Tomorrow (27 July, 1pm AEST) I'll be giving a seminar about using geophysics to improve models for ice sheet melting and dynamics. I'll talk about our recent work in Greenland as well as upcoming plans for Antarctica with Australian Centre for Antarctic Science (ACEAS). All welcome! antarctic.org.au/seminars/

Hi friends/colleagues- I live in the outback and spend much of my free time helping to educate the public in Earth Sciences. I’m trying to expand my teaching collection of samples. If you have an abundance of something please consider me! I’m happy to pay for postage! 1/

Hey Twitter, does anyone have any experience shipping to Morocco? A colleague needs to send quite a lot of geophysics gear over there and could use some advice on shipping agents, customs procedures, etc. Thanks!

Lovely thread from @sozdnt on our recent AGU (American Geophysical Union) GRL paper on MT signatures of kimberlites. All credit goes to Sinan for this - a beautiful combination of geophysics, geochemistry, mineral exploration and mantle processes. MinEx CRC

Got some nice research on the Australian lithosphere? Submit it to a session in our Australian Lithosphere theme at the #AESC - the place to be for all things Oz lithosphere, its imaging, composition and evolution. Abstracts close March 1 (next week)! aesc2023.com.au/program-themes/

Today is the deadline for Australian Earth Sciences Convention (AESC) abstracts! Maximum abstract length is 500 words so there's definitely time to bash one out before the end of the day. The conference is in Perth, June 27-30. aesc2023.com.au/abstract-submi…

If your weekend was ruined because you were sad you missed the AESC 2023 abstract deadline, you'll be happy to know it's been extended to March 14! Now you can ruin your weekend writing your abstract instead 😁 aesc2023.com.au/abstract-submi…

Looking for a postdoc for a really exciting position: Antarctic field work (🤞) this 23/24 summer, collecting MT data and then using it to understand and model ice loss. 2 years, Hobart-based, working with me, Anya M. Reading and the Australian Centre for Antarctic Science (ACEAS) team. DM/email questions! ❄️🧊

Not sure if anyone is still on here - but if any Antarctic folks have had success with Starlink in Antarctica can you please let me know? In particular, did you use the maritime system? Thanks!
