Have long used the UK in 100 seconds video at both KS3 & KS4 so am thrilled to see a global one released! A great tool for the #geographyteacher toolkit- thanks Dan Raven-Ellison! 👩🏻‍🏫👏🏻🌎

Still some of the best CPD I’ve done to date AND it comes with funding. Well worth looking into for any geography teacher! Been several years since I did it but happy to answer any questions 👩🏻‍🏫🌎

My regular(-ish) reminder that educational surveys equals points equals vouchers equals (in my world) books 😍📚Super easy 👇🏻 educationalresearchforum.com/en/join-now?re…

We often use non-specialists to support with fieldwork and over time I've learnt the value of a 'cheat sheet' of key points. It's really stripped back, lacks the nuance that specialists / someone who's done it before might bring but🤞helps #NationalFestivalofFieldwork

The subject knowledge update I didn’t know I needed! Turns out I had some misconceptions about what is & isn’t ‘de growth’. A recommended listen for all geographers 👩🏻‍🏫🌎🎧 bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/w3…

Big uptake for this blog post recently as the fieldwork season & #NationalFestivalofFieldwork gets underway! 👩🏻‍💻 It felt like an important blog to write last summer & I stand by my thoughts for what we need to consider when doing fieldwork in Stratford 🏙️ katestockings.com/geographical-f…

This time next week this event will have ended & the resources will be out in the world amongst geographers! Come and visit the London National Park City* visitor centre & leave with resources to teach about projects aiming to make our city greener, healthier & wilder 🌎 tickettailor.com/events/londonn…

No natural disasters in our classrooms thank you🌋 Lesson 1 of Tectonics for Year 8 = explicit teaching of the vocabulary we will & won't use whilst also recapping two examples from our Year 7 curriculum.

Lucky enough to have some budget ‘spare’ this year year? Here’s a preview of September’s GCSE Wideworld magazine with an article on Bangladesh’s progress- inspired by David Alcock’s Hopeful Geography work & ensuring that students recognise progress as well as problems 🌎

The first time I’ve planned fieldwork around a piece of text & what an impact it had- loved it 😍📚🏭 #NationalFestivalofFieldwork katestockings.com/geographical-f…

If you really want to test your school’s culture, join your GCSE geography fieldwork trips. These days have the killer combo of needing to complete high-stakes work without the normal classroom systems & routines. A test, that’s for sure, & potentially VERY tough days.

Thank you to RGS-IBG Schools for an excellent day of CPD with UCL colleagues in & around Stratford 🏙️ It might have been a little damp but it was fab to learn more about this area I visit so often & the impacts of ongoing gentrification here. Hoping to blog key takeaways soon 👩🏻‍🏫
