My considered view is that teaching Evidence, even as a large doctrinal class, is fundamentally a skills class, and a core lawyering skills class at that, even if one never litigates. It may be one of the most important classes in learning skills where lawyers add value.

WOT. Some of my favorite scholars collaborating on an amazing-sounding article? Can't wait to read this one! Talk about a dream team of legal and sociological expertise!

The best quote is from someone who works at a private college counseling firm and claims there's no causal relationship. Because... right... all the "best" high school students just go to the "best" high schools. Meritocracy. [laugh/cry] interactives.thecrimson.com/2024/news/feed…

Congratulations, ETS! You win my award for the worst customer service of 2024! And this year, that was quite a feat. Your hilariously loud and unhelpful "call center" and your complete indifference to the resolution of customer problems really put you over the top.

We really fucked up as a profession when we tied advancement to publication but not service (reviewing/editing). More people are trying to publish, but fewer qualified people have time to review. We need to align the incentives better.
