Yesterday marked the end of an era, with my last grant review board meeting as chair for Research at ARUK. After nearly 8 years on the board, with 4 as chair, itโs been incredible to witness both the phenomenal growth of the charity, and the incredible projects they have funded! ๐


We have a funded 3.5 year PhD studentship exploring genomic mechanisms underlying resilient and susceptible neurons to tangle pathology in AD brain. Yesterday I got to watch five of my PhD students graduate. ๐งโ๐๐ Very proud of them all ๐คฉ In the rush to get there I grabbed 2 right shoes - managed to jam my left foot into 1 for the day but was not comfortable and sure I was walking oddly ๐ Dementia Genomics Team
