These positions have to stop. University of Tennessee (Tennessee Athletics) has 3 “internship opportunities” for licensed, credentialed ATs. The stipend for this 12-month, 40+ hr/week position is… $27000. Plus, a parking pass.

The science is clear…guardian caps don’t help prevent concussions in high school football. What they do is give kids, parents & coaches a false sense of safety; which can lead to increased injuries due to poor technique & under-reporting of symptoms of concussion.
